It’s that time of year again, time for the Willows Wimbledon Nativity!
The children began learning the 8 songs for the show in October during their weekly music lessons with Aliona and we gradually introduced the lines to the children before sending them home for the children to practice with their parents too.
All of the children were very excited to learn which role they’d been allocated and started getting into character immediately!
Willows Pre-school Nativity was created in collaboration with the children, using their knowledge and ability to re-create the story of the nativity.
Children have learned to listen to each other & respect each other’s voices and opinions.
We have all worked endlessly to support the children’s confidence within the rehearsal process, as they’ve learned their lines, actions, and songs.
It has been interdisciplinary, extending across all areas of the EYFS, they developed acting skills, developed the confidence to speak to an audience, and also how to use technology to project their voices. We are very proud of the children for their persistence and effort which has led to such a wonderful production. We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we have enjoyed creating it.
Thank you to all parents for the support given to learn their lines.
Special thanks to all staff for their motivation, creativity, and commitment to the show, it really is a collaborative venture that requires effort from all.
Merry Christmas from Willows Preschool Wimbledon!!!
