This Christmas Dinner, bellies were full and hearts were merry thanks to the incredible efforts of Beverley, our amazing chef! Beverley, along with our new assistant chef Aldrin, went above and beyond to create a traditional Christmas feast that delighted everyone at both our Wimbledon and Colliers Wood Willows settings.
The two-day culinary marathon included a mouthwatering menu featuring all the trimmings: succulent roast turkey (or a delicious Quorn alternative for vegetarians), crispy golden roast potatoes, fluffy Yorkshire puddings, and a symphony of colorful vegetables – swede, carrots, green beans, parsnips, Brussels sprouts, and red cabbage. To top it all off, Beverley’s famous carrot cake made a triumphant return, leaving both children and staff wanting more.
While the majority of the meal was served due to the sheer number of options, the children did have their say! Serving trays overflowing with roast potatoes, carrots, and green beans became a popular destination as little hands eagerly refilled their plates. These extra veggies were perfect for soaking up every last morsel of the delicious gravy and turkey.
A huge thank you to Beverley and Aldrin for pouring their hearts (and culinary skills) into creating this festive feast. Their hard work and dedication truly made this a Christmas to remember for our Willows family!
